How do I know how long I should steam for?
Women with shorter menstrual cycles (27 days or fewer) are recommended to steam for shorter periods of time, 10-15 min. Women with normal menstrual cycles (28-30 days) are recommended to steam for 30 minutes. For more advanced issues that are higher up in the uterus, it is recommended to steam for up to 45 minutes. If the steam becomes cool during steam session, it is okay to reheat.

How often should I steam?
Steams can be used as often as needed, unless advised otherwise by a medical professional. For best results, use steams regularly, but do not exceed once a day. Steam regimens can be developed to cater to individual needs or goals by emailing @ablackgirlrising

How does the steam work?
Herbs release their medicine as you sit over the vapors from the steam. The heat allows for the tissue of the vagina to be softened and opened in order to absorb the magic of the steam.

What differences should I expect in my yoni/menstrual cycle?
Lighter cycles and increased awareness of your divine feminine qualities are to be expected. Release of dark blood that leads to light red color and lessening of clots. If there were initial menstrual imbalances, changes might become apparent sooner while for others changes may come more subtly.
